Neil Nitin Mukesh talks about his mystery girlfriend, Bipasha and his projects.Theres someone special in Neil Nitin Mukeshs life, but he wont say much about who she is. Shes not from the industry. Ive indirectly told her about my feelings and will make it formal and public at the right time, he says. And when that happens, Neil wouldnt mind going all out to prove his love for her.
Id even get a tattoo of her name, he says.
But hes more than willing to talk about the crackling on-screen chemistry he shares with his Aa Dekhen Zara co-star Bipasha Basu and about how fun she was to work with. Im in awe of Bipasha and adore her completely. Shes a disciplined person and would transform us into live wires the moment she arrived on the sets, says Neil. But Bips hasnt been heard saying much about him. Its not a mutual admiration society and Im sure she feels a great fondness for me, he says.Going by reports, it appears that Aa Dekhen Zara seems to be in the Mr India mould, except that Neils character has a camera rather than a watch. There is a gadget in the movie, but the film isnt similar to Mr India except in terms of its simplicity, explains Neil. The actor, whos just one-film-old, says he has learnt a lot from his 2007 debut, Johnny Gaddaar. Ive understood how important marketing is to make sure your film is watched. Johnny Gaddaar would have been a much bigger hit if it had been marketed well. Im lucky that the film didnt go unnoticed and audiences liked my work, says Neil.Does the success of Johnny Gaddaar account for his choice of thrillers and character-driven films? Indian cinema is changing fast and I like doing roles that have various layers to them. Ive not made a deliberate choice about doing thrillers, and in Aa Dekhen Zara, you will see me shaking my booty. My next with Ken Ghosh is a romantic movie. Thrillers excite me; theres drama and lot to emote. As for his audience, hed like to interact with them through blogs. Its an interesting medium to connect to people. Ill be posting even about my next flick, New York, in my blog which Ill start soon, he adds.Check out Neil Nitin Mukeshs pictures
